Off Site Optimization
Off Site Optimization covers all of the things that come from areas of the internet other than your own domain.
What this all boils down to is links to your site. The more links to you that you have, the better.
There is something to be said for the efficiency of 'good links'.
What we can accomplish with only a handful of links is more than what others accomplish with promises of 1,000's of links.
I can get my own links for nothing!
And we don't want to stop you from doing so, but care must be taken to choose the best links.
There is only a small definition of sites to stay away from completely, but these should be avoided completely.
The best way to make sure you are getting the most bang for your links is to research the website and links page of the sites pointing to you.
There are some sites that turn the stomachs of the spiders and they frown on sites that link to these types of sites.
Don't get caught linking to the 'black sheep' of the internet!
Acquiring these links is a process you will soon grow to loathe unless you set up a system for doing it.
Or, you could allow us to mange this for you with our

Which links do I want?
The list of consideration in a good link partner is extensive.
Some of the top things to consider are...
- Are they true links or do they redirect through the pages server?
If they don't come directly to you or are blocked in one of about four different ways then you don't get credit for the incoming link.
- What is the PR of the page I link to?
PR0, PR1, and unranked pages should be suspect or avoided completely.
They might be ok if it's a new site or a new page OR they might be up to something the search engines don't like.
- What are the page metrics of the page the remote link is on?
These are the stats that SEO geeks love to work with!
If a page is more relevant to the keyword you are targetting, the link is worth more to you.
Volumes have been published to the internet on what to look for.
- How many links on the referring page?
The lesser the better.
All of the PR a page has to give is divided evenly between all of the links on the page.
How many links do I need to get #1 placement?
The answer to this is as unique as "How many licks to the center of a Tootsie Pop?".
It will depend on how competetive your keywords are, how competetive your competetion is, how aggressive you want to be.
How long until I get into the top 10 for my keyword?
This depends on several factors including the competetive level involved with the keyword and the aggression level we agree on.
If you choose the general keywords to focus on they will result in far more clicks once at the top, but many other sites are viciously competing for these spots as well.
Slack off and you drop in rank quickly as others compete past you!
With more of a focus on niche keywords, you should attain top level quickly and maintain for a time to come with little or no effort.
How do I know which keywords to target?
Our extensive research will uncover words that are searched often enough to make a difference in your sites traffic, yet only served by a small portion of the websites out there.
We have several pages on this site that are optimized for traffic due to comon misspellings of keywords.
These pages bring in good traffic because they are ranked on top when they are searched for.
I have a few common mispellings from papers I've read...
Although there are many sources to find the 'wrong' words, your chief interest lies in getting the most traffic from these 'unfortunate' mistakes.
What we research is how often these niche phrases get searched for and how much competition there is for those particular phrases.
This goes beyond misspellings and gets right into phrases concerning your keywords...
How often are they searched for?
How many sites are using this keyphrase?
How much does this apply to my site?
These are all things to consider when targetting keyword niches.
